Delia Hernandez

Delia Hernandez is an experienced bilingual diagnostician who is driven to collaborate in an environment that promotes individualized learning for children with disabilities.

Delia Hernandez is an experienced bilingual diagnostician who is driven to collaborate in an environment that promotes individualized learning for children with disabilities. She received her Master’s degree in Special Education with a diagnostician certification from Texas State University in San Marcos Texas.
Testing can last between two and four hours depending on the pace and knowledge of a student.

 

These tests can measure:

​

  • Cognitive abilities

  • Oral language

  • Listening comprehension

  • Academic skills (phonemic awareness, reading, writing, spelling, and math skills)

​

After the testing is completed, a report is written, and a follow-up time is scheduled to go over the results of the testing.
Delia is a Licensed Educational Diagnostician (Bilingual) for the State of Texas. Delia has been teaching since 1998. She taught first, second and third grades before becoming a dyslexia teacher. Delia believes that is important to create a positive and respectful relationship with every student, parent, and co-worker. She makes it her goal to provide students with a caring, supportive, and happy environment where all students can achieve their best.
