Susan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish with a minor in Political Science from Southwest Texas State University. She also holds current teacher certifications for Early Childhood through 4th grade, English as a Second Language, and Spanish and Government for grades 6-12.
Susan is a San Marcos native and recently returned home after living in New Braunfels for 35 years. She has four adult children.
During her teaching career she worked with students with diverse abilities and academic needs. Her goal was to give students the help and support to grow and gain self confidence. She believes in meeting students where they are and giving the them the tools to become successful learners and lifelong readers.
She believes early intervention is crucial to giving students the pathway to success. She is passionate about teaching and helping her students achieve their full potential with personalized instruction and guidance.
She strives to create a learning environment in which students feel comfortable, supported, and confident.
